Microsoft and Google - Tried and True
This mindset is not often presented much online to browser's notice, but it is there, in many of us.
Microsoft, and possibly to my guesswork, Google in tandem efforts, are doing well while our societies are in states of changes in internet and computing/device techniques.
I'm very glad that companies such as Microsoft and Google are not chasing after totally alternative computing means, such as wearable glasses a bit too far from 10-finger input modes to machines.
Microsoft and Google are both performing transition work, involving some currently active tradeoffs in OS effectiveness and presentation.
Everything Microsoft coordinated with (seemingly to me) Google worked out fairly well.
Improvements Either Overlooked, or too controversial with Project Managers
Windows 11 or 2025+ could shine better, by way of standardizing icon/tile/app-logo requirements with developers as a bit more guided and less free-for-all.
First, increasing icon/thumbnail size on Start/Group/Taskbar/Tray presentations could use from 5%-20% size increase, in all cases.
Second, some delineation at Office 365 and Office divisions themselves, could improve on the ambiguity between icons for Word/Outlook/Phone-Link/Edge. All 4 applications exhibit too much of the smeared-together 'blues'.
Icon design for applications could use a software application for filtering, and retouching icon ideas to meet particular identification and delineation issues. A new application idea for me begins...
